Are we lacking somewhere ?

We live in a country where, when we hold a newspaper in the morning, we just get a bunch of fake news instead of facts and authentic news. What has made our media and newspaper so helpless and defenseless that the fourth pillar of our democracy is not strong enough to uphold the rights of our citizens and bring justice to the ones in need?
